Love motel

So, just before I arrived in Korea my friend who was already over there told me that the teacher I was replacing would still be there for another few days. For the first three nights, the school would put me up in a hotel until he moved out of my apartment. In Korea, or the big cities at least, there are many small nice hotels that rent by the hour. These "love motels" are actually quite nice, and not sleazy...one of the only oddities being the lack of drawers for long term (i.e. overnight for more than one night) stay. On the other hand you get a big screen, flat-panel TV; surround sound speakers; complementary OJ in the fridge; instant coffee; tea; a water cooler (that also puts out hot water); a firm bed; some nice furniture; a clean floor, and a foyer area for your shoes. You can also enjoy several lighting effects such as indirect lighting, or soft blue neon. At these motels, all the lighting, the AC, and TV, DVD, etc. are controlled by a single remote.
